What’s new in Altium Designer 26.3.0 Build 6?
(Released on 05-02-2026)
PCB:
- Added support for SOLIDWORKS 2024 and 2025 models (*.SldPrt) when working with 3D bodies. In addition, export of a PCB into Parasolid file format now uses Parasolid version 35.1.
- After exporting a specific PCB to Parasolid format, the 3D models for some components could not be converted when opening the exported file in SOLIDWORKS, resulting in the error “The data in this file may be invalid” being encountered.
- In some cases and with the PCB.Performance.InteractivePropertyPanel.Optimization option enabled (Advanced Settings), placing a layer stack table into the design space would result in the error “Object accessed after being destroyed…” being encountered.
- In some cases when using the Loop Removal feature while interactively routing, an error (in module “RouterEntry.dll” or module “ADVPCB.DLL”) would be encountered.
- With the PCB.Performance.InteractivePropertyPanel.Optimization option enabled (Advanced Settings), adding/removing the Route Tool Path layer multiple times for a PCB Library document (or opening a PCB Library document where this has been performed) would result in the error “Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation…” being encountered.
- In a specific case, attempting to save a PCB document after making changes would result in an Access Violation (in module ‘ADVPCB.DLL’) being encountered.
- When defining a Fabrication/Assembly Testpoint Style rule in the PCB Rules and Constraints Editor dialog, changes made to the Min/Max Size constraints were not being saved.
- For a specific PCB document and with the ‘Component re-route’ option enabled (on the PCB Editor – Interactive Routing page of Preferences), moving any component would result in the error “Object accessed after being destroyed…” being encountered.
Multi-board Design:
- When attempting to map pins between the inline connectors of a harness within a multi-board schematic, Altium Designer would completely freeze and could not be terminated via the Windows Task Manager.
Harness Design:
- Enhanced the ‘Update From Libraries’ feature to now also include wires, cavity components and associated parts (when accessed from a wiring diagram), and coverings, labels and associated parts (when accessed from a layout drawing). Note that for an aforementioned object to be included in the update, a component assigned to the object must include a link to a schematic symbol.
- Jumper wires defined in a wiring diagram are now correctly accommodated in the associated layout drawing. With a bundle selected in the layout drawing, the Bundle Objects region of the Properties panel will now include such jumper wires that start and end at the same connection point as part of that bundle. Such wires will only have the option to define their length manually. The entered value will then be included in the harness project’s ActiveBOM document and manufacturing drawing (BOM table and wiring list).
Platform:
- Improved notifications appearing in Altium Designer Develop relating to cases where subscription is nearing expiry, subscription has already expired (and the Altium Develop Workspace is in view-only mode) and when there are no Author seats available.
- The End User License Agreement (EULA) has now been replaced with the Master Services Agreement (MSA), when installing Altium Designer Develop and Altium Designer Agile. Altium Designer remains using the EULA (which has also been updated).
Data Management:
- When using the Manufacturer Part Search panel, only the last filter to be applied would be correctly displayed (name and parameter) above the results list. Any previously selected filters would be displayed in name only, with parametric information missing.
- It was not possible to scroll the content of the Manufacturer Part Search panel’s Details pane, when the cursor was positioned over certain areas.
- When sharing an item in a Workspace with a new user, the entry for that user (in the Share For Item dialog) would initially (and incorrectly) display their email rather than their organization.
- While browsing components in the ‘Where-used’ view of a component template (in the Explorer panel), changing the Revision State for one or more selected components would not automatically be reflected back in the view.
- Placing a reuse block from the Explorer panel would result in the error “Value cannot be null. (Parameter ‘pcbSnippetGUID’)…” being encountered.
- After refreshing the Components panel, revision states for models were not being updated.
- The Custom Parts Provider Synchronization feature, used to map – through a Custom Parts Provider Synchronization Configuration document (*.PrtSync) – supplier data from a specified database source to Workspace supply chain data, can now be used when connected to a Workspace hosted on Altium 365 GovCloud.
- For a component in an ActiveBOM, the ranking specified for an added manual solution would be lost after updating to use a later revision of that component in the design.
- When using the Library Importer to import footprints in a PCB Library document into a connected Workspace, any footprint whose description exceeded 256 characters would fail to import, even though the Importer reported that the import had been successful.
- In some cases when attempting to release changes made to an existing component (through the Component editor in its Single Component Editing mode), the error “Interface not supported” would be encountered.
- When attempting to add a specific part choice (LM2940IMP-15 from Texas Instruments) to any component in a Workspace library, the error “Value cannot be null. (Parameters ‘source’)” would be encountered.
- In the specific case of working with Altium Designer 26.1 and connected to a Workspace, when viewing placed comments in any design project, the user name, in both the contextual commenting window and the Comments and Tasks panel, was showing as “Anonymous” instead of the person who placed the comment.
Import/Export:
- When exporting a PCB into Ansys EDB format, capacitor values specified in fF (femto Farad) were not being recognized, defaulting instead to 1nF.
System Requirements:
- Operating System: Windows 7/8/10
- RAM: 2 GB (4 GB recommended)
- Hard Disk Space: 200 MB or more
